 Derek A. Nelsen
Derek graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with a B.A. in Communication Studies in 2006. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota in 2009. In law school, Derek was a Sterling Honor Graduate, Law Review Symposium Editor, and Moot Court Board Member. After graduating, Derek served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Judith Meierhenry of the South Dakota Supreme Court from 2009 until 2011. He joined the firm after his clerkship ended. Derek is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, Minnesota State Bar Association, American Bar Association, South Dakota Defense Lawyers Association, and Second Judicial Circuit Bar Association. |
